Session Guidelines

 

Wardrobe Recommendations Actor Headshots

YES to this:

  • Choose subdued, solid, neutral colors that create a sophisticated mood

  • Colors like that are muted, blacks, navy, charcoal gray, dark greens, browns

  • Select clothing that complements and frames your facial features

  • Consider layering pieces like a jacket/blazer over a shirt for added depth

  • Prioritize contemporary styles with modern cuts and fitted

  • Express your personality subtly through styling without being flashy/blingy

 

NO to this:

  • Distracting patterns or busy designs

  • Excessively bright or overwhelming colors

  • Outdated styling

  • White garments unless layered under a jacket

  • Loose or odd-fitting clothing

  • Logos, branding, or text on clothing

  • Sheer or transparent fabrics

  • Any elements that draw attention away from you​

Pre-Shoot Preparation

Wardrobe Planning:

  • Bring backup clothing options unless completely confident in your selections

  • Steam garments and remove any lint or wrinkles

  • Check for stains or spots

  • Try not to eat anything heavy at least 3-4 hours before shoot time

 

Final Preparation:

  • Complete hair and makeup touch-ups

  • Move carefully to the shooting area to preserve your styling

  • Bring water and or snacks

During the Photo Session

Session Structure:

  • Posing instruction and technique coaching

  • Anticipate each wardrobe change to be around 5-15 minutes

  • Live photo evaluation using tethered monitor

  • You will choose 3 photos from each look to be professionally retouched

 

Post-Session Delivery:

  • Images delivered within 72 hours via email

  • File format will be JPEG edited, Cropped Vertically and RAW unedited.

  • You will have 60 days to download all your photos from online storage.

 

Where is Studio Graemadder located?

The Studio is located in Little Tokyo area of downtown Los Angeles 

at the Sakura Crossing Apartments: 235 S San Pedro St. Los Angeles CA 90012

Parking – There are several options for paid parking around the area. Parking Money: Have $20 dollars for parking.  You can find parking ranging from $5-$20. There are street meters that take a credit card but they aren’t always available so bring a little cash for parking if you need to use one of the garages.
